Langtang Valley Trek Cost

Is a recently popular and very celebrated trekking route of Nepal. It is among the fifth-best trekking routes in Nepal and welcomes almost 1000 tourists each month. A lot of locals, as well as international tourists, go for a long time to Valley Tree each year. The journey to Long Tongue is called suddenly as well as naturally rewarding. This shortest streak from Kathmandu is also the cheapest one available in Nepal time Valley trek costs about 880 per portion for an eight-day strip. There are a lot of factors such as tracking duration/itinerary, choice of accommodation, choice of transportation, and group size that determine your cost, but it will probably rain somewhere between $700-$200. Let’s break the longtime Valley tray cost into different headings.

Transportation

At the beginning of the trek, you need to drive for at least five hours. These 6 to 7 hours of the journey can either be done in public transportation or you can go for a private vehicle.

Public bus to Syabrubesi- The starting point of the public bus is from Kathmandu Bus Park each day, usually in the morning. It will take you 7 to 8 hours to reach Syabrubesi in a public vehicle. The bad news is the public buses in Kathmandu might not be very clean and peaceful. So you might have a troubling journey.

Private bus to Syabrubesi- A good alternative for tourists is to take a smaller jeep, which is much more comfortable when driving off-road in Nepal. Jeep can cost around a nap 1400. If you need to book the entire Jeep, it costs around  Rs15,000.

Permit for Langtang Cost

There are two permits needed for the Langtang Valley trek i.e. the national park permit of Langtang for the cost of Rs 3000 and then the TIMS card for the cost of Rs 2000, but the problem is this is just a one-time investment and costs around an NRP 5000 in total.

Langtang Guide Cost and Porter

Langtang Valley trekking with a guide is compulsory after the government has implemented new rules for trekking in Nepal. You need to hire a licensed guide who will take you inside the Langtang Valley region and the guide will cost you around dollar 25 for the day. The cost of the guide here can be divided among 6 to 7 people in the group, so traveling in the group reduces your cost for a guide. Similarly, you can hire a porter who carries your goods and clothes. Since hiking is already a very difficult task, most foreigners find it easy to book another person, to carry their trekking bag. A guide usually carries the bag for two people and costs around dollar 18 per day.

Cost of Food

The cost of food and accommodation mostly varies according to your demand. In the mountains, a single meal costs around $5 while in a city area like Kathmandu, you can find meals for as cheap as $2 to $3. Dal Bhat is the most popular Nepalese food that you can refill for only a limited time and costs around $4 during Langtang Valley Trek. Tourist food normally costs $25 per day on the other hand accommodation is a bit easier and it costs around dollar 5 to 10 per day. The newly built hotels in the Langtang Valley and Kyanjin Gompa are very beautiful, but they can be a bit cheaper. But overall, it’s worth it.

Shopping

Obviously, the cost of shopping depends upon your brand and the quality of the cloth you buy. But what you can do is rent everything you need during that trek for about dollar 30 each day. This includes sleeping bag, down jacket, trekking poles, trekking pants, and more. If you do not want to buy these things and invest a lot, then renting is a good option here.

Another cost

Some extra gas for normal tips and expenditure such as extra food or drink is needed. Around $200 of extra cash to buy drinks, tips for your porter/ Guide, and anything else from the trip is very important.
